Eliza Parker

Eliza works as an athletic trainer with Mission Sports Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. With the cancelation of the winter and spring sports seasons and the university moving classes online, Eliza was offered another opportunity within the division so that she could continue to support the healthcare needs of her community. Given the choice between serving as a PPE runner or screener, Eliza chose to screen patients at Mission Hospital in Asheville because, as she says, “I chose a place that is at more high risk for exposure because I am younger and fairly healthy and I don’t have anyone in the high risk category depending on me for care.”
