TriStar Skyline names assistant CNO

TriStar Skyline Medical Center has named Bruce Mitchell assistant chief nursing officer. His efforts will focus on patient experience in the emergency room, according to a press release.

Mitchell previously served as flight nurse and paramedic and worked in HCA Florida JFK Hospital. Mitchell earned five degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from West Texas A&M, a master’s degree from Lubbock Christian University and a doctorate in nursing practice from Texas Tech University.

“Bruce’s experience and depth of knowledge will be an asset to the nursing leadership team at TriStar Skyline,” said Amy Higgins, chief nursing officer at TriStar Skyline. “We are excited to have Bruce’s skill set to focus on enhancing the care we provide to our patients in our emergency department every day.”

The change comes less than one month after the hospital named Natalie Whitmer COO of TriStar Skyline Medical Center.
