"To not be able to see my baby for 48 hours, and then finally to be able to see him…"
After enjoying an uncomplicated pregnancy, Heidi King experienced medical complications during her son’s birth at TriStar Summit Medical Center. Following an unplanned cesarean section, Heidi was taken the ICU to recover while her son was transferred to TriStar Centennial Medical Center for specialized care.
With Heidi’s husband traveling back and forth between hospitals, nurses at TriStar Summit Medical Center and TriStar Centennial Medical Center came up with an innovative way to help Heidi see her baby for the first time.
“It was a surreal moment to see that he was ok, and to know that I was going to be ok.”
