As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to move across the nation, more and more patients who remain at home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus seek care online through virtual provider visits. “The ability to safely and effectively evaluate and diagnose our patients virtually through telemedicine technology has become a very important tool in assessing the increased number of patients who present to us with symptoms consistent with COVID-19,” says Peyman Omer, a medical assistant with HCA Healthcare's Physician Services Group. “It’s reassuring to know that we have the support to continue to care for the needs of our community, all the while still keeping our staff safe as the pandemic evolves.”
