As most of you know, North Florida Regional Medical Center has restricted visitor access into the hospital in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to our patients and staff. On Sunday, a patient’s wife asked if she could "visit" with her husband through the window. Jackie Nettles, a neuroscience nurse on 4 South brought the patient to the window of his room so that he could see his wife, who was on the sidewalk on the other side of Newberry Road with an "I Love You" sign. There wasn’t a dry eye on the floor!

This small gesture made such a tremendous difference for this patient. This is just one example of how our staff truly care like family. Thank you, Jackie, for your incredible service to our patients and our community!
