The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every one of our lives in many ways. Communities and families have faced new challenges each day. At HCA Healthcare, we stand by our mission: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. In times like these, that mission continues to guide our decisions and actions like never before.
As we remain focused on delivering the highest quality care to every patient we encounter, we recognize that many of those patients may transition from our hospitals to other sites of care. Our commitment to giving people healthier tomorrows does not end when those patients walk out our doors. Long-term care is sometimes the next step in a patient’s journey, and we are here to offer our assistance to these facilities, their patients and staff during this critical time.
HCA Healthcare has created the Support for Long-Term Care Facilities initiative which allows us to provide long-term care facilities with information regarding staffing resources, testing guidance, personal protective equipment sourcing, and infection control in the wake of COVID-19. These robust materials include guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), company best practices, and data collected from various professional associations.
At HCA Healthcare, we are driven by a desire to serve our patients, our colleagues and our communities. We are grateful for the sacrifice and dedication of all caregivers, and we stand beside you as you do the meaningful work of caring for our communities at all stages of life. We are in this together, now and in the days to come.
