Houston Northwest Medical Center is currently accepting applications for RN Clinical Educator.
Responsible for the assistance in coordinating and implementing education at Houston Northwest Medical Center. Assists Education Manager in duties related to new associate, agency, contractor, and student orientation and training. Communicates successes and obstacles to Managers/Directors regarding the new hire employee. Maintains communication with HNMC team members. Functions as a system administrator in .EDU (Healthstream) to ensure compliance. Assists in developing hospital education based on staff needs. Assists in staff education of equipment. Coordinates training with department directors/mangers and vendors in education of training staff.
Graduate of an approved and accredited nursing program(BSN). Must have current RN TX License and BLS/ACLS from the AHA Healthcare provider.
Must have (5) years of clinical experience, previous staff development or educator experience preferred, especially in the area of orientation of a new graduate nurse in an acute care setting.
|The Educator demonstrates knowledge of educational theories, methods of delivery, and the ability to develop and facilitate relevant and effective education for the adult learner. The Educator is a resource to all levels of staff and is responsible for assessing learning needs, planning activities, developing curriculum, and collecting/analyzing data to evaluate education ensuring positive outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrates the ability to work with colleagues at all levels of the organization and accomplish multiple tasks according to specific timelines. Demonstrates flexibility in the face of changing priorities and schedules. Conveys a positive image of self and the organization with internal as well as external consultants. Demonstrates skill and success in leading work groups of healthcare professionals and project management in the areas of nursing or healthcare.|
