Dr. Jacfranz Guiteau

TriStar Centennial Medical Center has added Dr. Jacfranz Guiteau as surgical director of the TriStar Centennial Organ Transplant Program.

Guiteau (pictured) oversees the transplantation and surgical management of patients seeking treatment for end-stage renal disease. He joins Dr. Ranjan Chanda, kidney transplant medical director, to lead the clinical and operational initiatives of the TriStar Centennial organ transplant program.

Guiteau received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and completed his residency and fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Guiteau to our medical staff and kidney transplant team,” Scott Cihak, TriStar Centennial Medical Center’s chief executive officer, said in the release. “[He] is committed to the advancement of kidney transplantation, increasing organ availability and working to ensure the highest quality outcomes for our patients.”

Littler welcomes associate in local office

Littler, an employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Courtney Williams as an associate in the Nashville office.

Williams joins from Bass, Berry & Sims PLC.

Williams both advises companies and litigates on their behalf regarding compliance with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, discrimination and harassment, and claims of wrongful termination and defamation. She also works with clients to develop employee handbooks and advises on severance, non-compete and other employment-related agreements.

Williams received her J.D. degree from the William & Mary School of Law and her B.A. degree from Carson-Newman College. She is a member of the Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women.

Cumberland Trust adds Liles

Nashville-based independent corporate trust company Cumberland Trust has added David Liles to its estate administration team as a trust administrator.

Liles supports the administration of post-mortem estates and helps clients and beneficiaries understand the steps of the estate settlement process.

Liles joins an estate administration team that is led by Judith Lojek, senior vice president and head of estate administration. Rachel Fuqua, vice president and trust officer; Jonathan Thomaston, assistant vice president and trust officer; Caroline Mitchell, trust officer; Phillip Burnett, trust administrator; and Donna Wooden, senior trust specialist, round out the group.

Previously, Liles served the Metro Nashville Police Department for nearly 30 years as an officer, sergeant, legal instructor and liaison to the district attorney’s office.

Liles has a Juris Doctor degree from Nashville School of Law. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Middle Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in public service management from Cumberland University. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association.

“David is a fantastic addition to our growing estate administration team,” Lojek said in the release. “With decades of experience in criminal justice as well as a background in law, [he] will deliver unique support to the families navigating increasingly complex challenges that come about when a loved one passes. Journeys announces multiple personnel moves

Journeys, a division of Nashville-based Genesco Inc., has announced the following personnel moves within its corporate offices.

Angel Moreno has been promoted to vice president of store planning, overseeing all construction of new and renovated stores for the Journeys and Johnston & Murphy concepts. A 26-year Journeys veteran, he most recently served as a store planning senior project manager. Moreno has held several field operations positions as well as store operations and store planning positions in the corporate offices.

Robert Wiegand has been promoted to regional vice president, real estate. A 20-year veteran, he will assist the real estate team in support of the company’s store growth and cost savings initiatives, including market planning, site selection and lease team negotiations for new and existing stores. Over his career, Wiegand has served in various store planning and store operations roles with Journeys.

Derek Lively has joined Journeys as regional vice president, real estate. He has more than 16 years of experience in mall-based retail real estate and most recently was director of real estate for Lids. Lively will assist the real estate team in support of the company’s store growth and cost savings initiatives, including market planning, site selection and lease term negotiations for new and existing stores.

Chad Autry has been promoted to director of operations, new and renovated stores. He will manage the process of opening all new stores and assist in the planning and execution of all remodels and store relocations. Autry joined Journeys as a store sales associate in 1997 and has held numerous field and corporate office positions, including most recently as operations manager, new and renovated stores.

Adam Saich has been promoted to director, operations. He will lead the store operations team on all projects related to store policies, procedures and systems. Over his 20-year career with Journeys, he has worked both at the store management level and in a variety of store operations roles in the corporate offices.

Clay Beazley has been promoted to director, facilities management. He has served the past six years on the store services and store planning teams, and now will be responsible for leading store facilities maintenance programs for all Journeys Group and Johnston & Murphy retail locations.

Journeys is a teen retail leader with an emphasis on footwear, apparel, backpacks, hats and accessories. It operates more than 840 stores in all 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Canada.

LAS adds two

Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands has added to its Nashville office James Rich as a housing and consumer attorney and Eamon Smith as a paralegal for Tennessee Senior Law Alliance.

Rich’s work will focus on consumer and housing cases. He joins Legal Aid Society from Legal Services Alabama, where he handled a general civil practice caseload including consumer and housing cases. Prior to that, he worked as a legal fellow for International Justice Mission in its Pampanga, Philippines, office.

Rich graduated from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and religion. He earned his juris doctorate from Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. He spent a summer abroad in Strasbourg, France, with the Regent University School of Law.

Smith will work with TSLA, a first-of-its-kind partnership among Tennessee’s four legal aid providers and the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services to deliver free legal help to low-income Tennesseans age 60 and over who are facing problems relating to their basic needs. His work will include assisting seniors in addressing legal core issues related to health care, housing, finances and estate planning.

Before coming to LAS, Smith worked as a congressional aide at the district office of U.S. Congressman Keith Ellison, where he assisted constituents with immigration matters.

Smith graduated from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in international studies and minoring in Hispanic studies.
