HCA Healthcare’s West Florida Division has named a new CEO for Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital.
Joe Rudisill, the former CEO of Florida Englewood Hospital, will take the same position at Sarasota Doctors Hospital. He'll replace Robert Meade, who is retiring after 41 years with Tennessee-based HCA Healthcare, according to a release.
While at Englewood Hospital, Rudisill led the groundbreaking and new completion of a $31 million emergency services expansion in North Port. He also previously worked as COO of Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, and was interim CEO of Florida Bayonet Point Hospital.
HCA (NYSE: HCA) recently said it expects to have $250 million to $350 million in additional expenses and lost revenue at its facilities in Florida and other states after hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Rudisill has a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master's from Virginia Commonwealth University.
